Fantasy Trip Slideshow: 1920s Safari

File this under “Lottery Winnings,” because at about $25,000 all-inclusive for an eleven-day safari, Cottars 1920s Camp is probably only gonna happen in conjunction with a big win.  Nevertheless, dreaming is sometimes what gets us through the week (and sometimes what inspires fabulous parties), so feast your eyes on this!

Cottars has been in business since the 1920s.  Its 1920s-style camp hosts only a dozen people at a time for twice-daily safaris, gourmet food and drink, and pampering.

Meals are taken together in the main tent.  Notice the victrola in the corner!

Check that amazing safari vehicle; it’s still in use.  The top has a rollaway canvas for viewing giraffes and elephants.

Between the morning and evening drives and walks, relax in your personal tent, which features a hot shower and flushing toilet.

At the end of the night, the wild calls of the wilderness will lull you to sleep.  Yes, please!
