As the only chick on Discovery’s geekfest, Mythbusters, Kari builds elaborate contraptions and blows stuff up in the name of science. Her quirky cool is the perfect balance to the program’s many nerdy boys, and a little secret explains why: she’s actually an artist, not a scientist. Who knew? Despite her consistently fun nail polish, she had us fooled, and anyone who can convince her way into a TV job outside of her field, keep up her sculpting on the side, spend time with her husband and baby, and detonate explosives on camera has our hearts.
