Reader Kate recently took a solitude retreat to, as she says, “calm the chaos that exists in our everyday lives, pulling our minds from one place to another.” After several rounds of booking her retreat, making excuses, and canceling, she finally made it out to a wilderness cabin for “creative solitude, a day away for silence, learning, reviving and taking in.”
With no real action to take but with the liberty of “just being,” Kate spent most of the time “with camera in hand, chasing daylight,” she says. Check out her snaps. They are saturated with a sense of peace and the energy of rediscovery.
