Tron Style

Contrast, contrast, contrast.  That’s what makes everything you see in Tron: Legacy so visually striking.  Light and dark, rough and smooth, straight and curved – all layered and working harmoniously to create an invigorating back-and-forth for the senses.

Study the film’s low-tech design tricks and steal them for yourself.

Color contrast:

black hair + porcelain skin + smokey liner + pale iris + dark pupil = exciting to the eye

Texture contrast:

rocky walls +  gleaming floors + leather upholstry + smooth lucite edges = interesting to the touch

Style contrast:

traditional design + modern materials = surprising to the mind

Linear contrast:

angled walls + curvy table legs + grid floor + rounded bed = intriguing to the senses
